UFC on ESPN 10 video: Tyson Nam snaps skid with knockout
Veteran bantamweight Tyson Nam struggled out of the gate when he signed with the UFC. But in his third bout, he turned the tide with a highlight-reel knockout.
Nam needed just 32 seconds to stop Zarrukh Adashev, countering an inside leg kick with an overhand right that floored the Glory veteran. Follow-up punches finished the job, putting Adashev completely out.

“It’s been such a long time,” Nam told UFC commentator and lightweight Paul Felder afterward. “I feel great, and I’m ready to do it again.”
Nam picked up his first UFC win after losses to Sergio Pettis and Kai Kara-France, respectively, in his previous two bouts.
After three wins under the Bellator banner, Adashev goes back to the drawing board with his fifth professional MMA fight.
Nam is no stranger to big knockouts. He got the MMA world talking in 2012 with a first-round stoppage of once-dominant Bellator champ Eduardo Dantas, but a contract dispute with the promotion’s previous owners delayed his momentum, and a deal with the WSOF (now PFL) was the catalyst for four straight losses. Nam returned to the regional circuit and racked up a 6-1-1 record to pick up a UFC contract.
