The world’s “toughest job interview” continues this evening as 10 fighters “vie to fulfill their dreams of earning a UFC contract.”
Dana White’s “Tuesday Night Contender Series” hits the UFC APEX tonight (Tues., Sept. 16, 2020) for its midseason finale, temporarily capping off what’s been an incredibly productive series of events.
Four more fighters joined Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) last week; Aliaskhab Khizriev choked out Henrique Shiguemoto in just 50 seconds, Drako Rodriguez upset Mana Martinez via first-round triangle, Phil Hawes scored an impressive knockout in his second appearance on the show, and Tafon Nchukwi capped things off with a horrific head kick wipeout of Al Matavao.
Tonight, rising Brazilian Middleweight Gregory Rodrigues (7-2) fights late replacement Jordan Williams (8-3), who narrowly lost to Ramazan Kuramagomedov on the show last year. Down at 145, Titan FC standout Muhammad Naimov (5-0) faces punched Collin Anglin (7-1), while Welterweight Korey Kuppe (8-3) welcomes Michael Lombardo (10-2) back to the show. In an intriguing turn of events, former Olympic boxing hopeful Danyelle Wolf (0-0) makes her Featherweight MMA debut against Invicta vet Taneisha Tennant, and veteran Dinis Paiva (13-7) opens the card against Kyle Driscoll (11-3)
