Knockout! Watch ‘Beverly Hills Ninja’ Score Bloody Stoppage In UFC Debut

UFC Fight Night: Villanueva v Wright Photo by Chris Unger/Zuffa LLC

Undefeated light heavyweight prospect Jordan Wright impressed on arrival earlier tonight (Sat., Aug. 22, 2020) at UFC on ESPN 15 live on ESPN/ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, when he smashed veteran Ike Villanueva via first-round TKO (doctor’s stoppage).

It didn’t take Wright long to make his Octagon presence known as he whipped a spinning heel kick that dropped Villanueva to the canvas. After Villanueva returned to his feet Wright suffocated him with pressure along the cage and powerful knee in the clinch. The strikes eventually busted Villanueva’s eye wide open and the cageside physician stepped in to call the bout.

With this performance, Wright extends his undefeated professional record to 11-0, having finished all of those wins by knockout or submission. The 28-year-old prospect looked quite good in his debut, but it’ll be interesting to see Wright’s full capabilities once he encounters an opponent that can take him out of the first round.
