‘Are You Trying To Avoid Me?’
After Stipe Miocic retained his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight title a few weeks ago by defeating Daniel Cormier a second time at UFC 252, it set up another rematch, this time against No. 1 contender, Francis Ngannou.
But it’s not like Miocic was chomping at the bit to hop back into the cage against “The Predator” since he already put on a clinic on how to defeat the power-punching knockout artist at UFC 220 nearly three years ago. That’s why Stipe would prefer to get a taste of some new blood in the Octagon or the boxing ring.
Of course, Miocic’s last three fights came against the same man (Cormier), so that could be exactly why he wants to face someone knew since he will have only faced “DC” and “The Predator” since 2018.
Or is the champ simply trying to avoid Ngannou? “The Predator” seems to think that’s the case.
Is this your way of avoiding me?

A boxing match for Miocic is highly unlikely (I’m puzzled active UFC fighters still believe it’s a real possibility) and Jon Jones will not be jumping the line, according to UFC President Dana White.
So whether he likes it or not, the 265-pound champion will once again have to go toe-to-toe against the hardest-hitting big man in the game today. And since Miocic already has a blueprint to beat him, there’s nothing to sweat this time around either, right?
