Highlights! Amirkhani Scores Nasty Anaconda Choke At UFC 251

Featherweight up-and-comer Makwan Amirkhani looked incredible earlier tonight (Sat., July 11, 2020) at UFC 251 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside Flash Forum in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, finishing Scottish prospect Danny Henry via first-round submission (anaconda choke).

Both featherweights tested the ropes on the feet to begin the first before Amirkhani started to come inside and use his wrestling. After scoring a takedown against Henry, Amirkhani was able to grab a hold of a tight anaconda choke as Henry tried to get back to his feet. Henry tried to fight off the choke but “Mr Finland” continued to squeeze until Henry fell asleep.

With this performance, Amirkhani gets back into the win column after dropping a TKO loss to Shane Burgos back at UFC 244. We all know have tough Burgos is so Amirkhani should still be looked at as a promising name at 145 pounds, especially if he continues to take out opponents in this dominant fashion. It was actually Amirkhani’s second anaconda choke under the UFC banner.
